HISTORY OF THE GERMAN CLUB
On October 18, 2005, the German Club in Buenos Aires celebrated its 150th anniversary. In view of this important event, we have considered it appropriate to present to its members and the community a review of the evolution of our institution from its birth to the present.
In the pages that follow, we have tried to reflect the development of the Club’s activities, its evolution and achievements, the problems it had to face, the repercussion of the most relevant political and economic events and other curiosities that, we are sure, will be of interest to the readers.
We are sure that reliving what happened within our institution will help us to understand the true sense of belonging that has made possible the continuity of action among successive generations.
